Are you desperate for a good night's sleep? Do you have a preschooler or toddler who has never slept through the night? Has not learned to fall asleep on their own? What about an older child?

Even primary school-aged children will sometimes regress in their sleeping, making it hard to know when to get them back in their own beds. If you have to lie with your child till they fall asleep, you may be ready to teach them to get to sleep in their own beds, saying a warm goodnight and sending them to a good night's sleep. Independent sleep onset and maintenance are important life skills that have been shown to improve self-confidence, maturity and mood/behaviour.

You can offer your child all the love and attention they need, whilst instilling the independence to be a great sleeper. Concentration at school, emotional maturity and compliance at home have all been shown to be linked to sleeping habits. This may be the only issue worrying you, or it may be part of a bigger picture of emotional and behavioural needs. You can start the journey of reclaiming sleep in your home- it is easier than you think. Although sleep training is very individual, if you feel ready to teach your child how to be a great sleeper, please reach out. 2-3 sessions is all you need to be assessed as ready and to learn how it's done.
