Childhood defiance is an increasing problem in today's young generation as they seek more immediate gratification and make demands louder, showing disrespect to others and difficulty regulating their emotions. It can be really hard to know how to change the power in the home, where a family is a team, with everyone following the house rules. Parents often swing from being patient and loving to getting impatient and emotional as they feel frustrated in their parenting.

Children respond to the energy around them, and if the boundaries are not clear, they will often become quite dysregulated and difficult to manage. Just getting through the day-to-day chores of getting ready for school, getting along with siblings and managing their feelings can overwhelm parents and children alike.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is a form of therapy that teaches parents how to regain control in their house, work better as a team and create harmony and resilience in their family. It only takes weeks to shift this balance and make parenting so much more effective and enjoyable. You can have good listening and manners and kindness in your home within weeks, helping your child to learn how to be a great adult one day.
